Center for Humane Technology

The Center for Humane Technology is committed to “radically reimagining our digital infrastructure toward humane technology that supports our wellbeing, democracy, and shared information environment.” The CHO was co-founded by several individuals with a background in the tech industry, including former Google design ethicist Tristan Harris, and inventor of the “infinite scroll,” Aza Raskin. Now serving as a voice for reform, the two advocate for humane design as co-hosts of the podcast Your Undivided Attention, and were recently featured in the Netflix docudrama The Social Dilemma. Their website offers toolkits for young people, parents, educators, technologists, and policymakers, as well as research-based fact sheets, “Issue and Action Guides” for young people, and “Foundations of Humane Technology,” a self-paced course for software designers.
